Meet the Writer

Breckyn Forcey is a 17-year-old Nashville-based spoken word poet and writer whose work confronts injustice with unflinching honesty and lyrical fire. Through raw, emotionally charged poems, she explores themes like systemic inequality, women’s rights, mental health, climate crisis, and generational trauma. Her voice is both protest and prayer, fueled by grief, sharpened by truth, and rooted in hope. Breckyn believes poetry is not just art, but resistance: a way to speak when silence is survival, and to rise when the world tells you to shrink.
